Illuminated night dive reveals variety of marine creatures off Okinawa's Kumeijma island

Video footage taken underwater shows marine life illuminated during a night dive off Kumejima island located about 100 kilometers west of the main island of Okinawa. Shown are such creatures as pipe-shaped bluespotted cornetfish (Fistularia commersonii) and various types of jellyfish feeding among plankton. The imagery was achieved by setting up as many as 29 lights on the seabed. The video footage was taken by Takuya Isayama and Kotaro Ebara of The Asahi Shimbun.
