Meatloaf 'Bat Out of Hell Three' album: Interview; ENGLAND: London:INTMeat Loaf (Singer) interview SOT- Nervous about going on stage / This is our first show, I have 5 new songs, we have 3 new people in the band and we're at the Royal Albert Hall / Wouldn't you be nervous? / I don't care how long you've been in the business ... we're doing 5 songs we've never done before / The problem is the lyrics because there's a lot of lyrics in these songs and they're all getting mixed up in my head- Haven't played for a while in London- Doesn't feel like 13 years since 'Bat Out of Hell II' / Felt like 16 years between 'Bat Out of Hell' and 'Bat Out of Hell II'- New album is really good / Jeez / Little edgier than before / Sounds like Meat Loaf but like to think we've progressed rather than going sideways with it / Bat I was an extraordinary piece of work / Todd Rundgren and Jim Steinman did amazing work on that / Jimmy did amazing work on II / Desmond Chiles has done amazing work on III- Misquoted that it's a more personal album than the others- Emotional connection (for people with Bat I which is why it still sells) / The idea is to make an emotional connection with everyone not just necessarily the fans I have now- Like performing live but wish I had a few more shows under my belt / But we'll make the best of it dammit! (laughs)
