Kay Granger opposes two weeks funding to pause longest shutdown ever

House Appropriations Committee ranking member Kay Granger of Texas says on day 25 of a partial shutdown in debate on a bill funding government for two weeks that she supports the goal of reopening government with programs like TSA and Border Patrol, Coast Guard and air traffic control on pause, but the bill at hand would not help districts because it is not comprehensive or address the humanitarian crisis on the southern border, criminals, terrorists and drugs flood US shores, tens of thousands of children many without parents make the dangerous trip to the United States every year, an unacceptable situation that must be addressed, Granger concerned that many will not get paid but there is not a bipartisan consensus on the plan.
