"30 Years Of Wrapped Reichstag" Projection In Berlin

"Wrapped Reichstag, Project for Berlin" was an environmental artwork produced in 1995 that featured the Reichstag, the seat of the Bundestag, the German federal parliament, wrapped in 100,000 square meters (over one million square feet) of fabric for two weeks. The building itself, constructed from 1884-1894 and destroyed by fire in 1933 prior to World War II, was used as a fortress, radio tube factory, and hospital during the war, before being captured by the Soviet army.
