Peter Welch floor remarks opposing fiscal 2018 budget

Vermont Congressman Peter Welch argues against a budget proposal put forward by the Republican study committee, charging that it makes assumptions that there is a spending problem in 90 revenue problem in government. In that tax cuts pay for themselves, which he calls a theology. Welch calls Bush era deficits grossly irresponsible. That put the war on a credit card, suggesting there is an opportunity problem when kids going to school. Get out with a debt the size of a mortgage, a dreamer problem, referring to undocumented young immigrants, and a rural America problem which he says was left behind in the budget.
