Barcelona hosts Mobile World Congress 2025

BARCELONA, SPAIN - MARCH 3: The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, organized annually by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) in Barcelona, has opened its doors to visitors on Monday, March 3. Considered one of the world's leading technology fairs, MWC has started in the city of Barcelona, Spain. Held at the Fira Gran Via Exhibition Center, this year’s theme for the congress is “Converge. Connect. Create.”, and it features participants from over 200 countries. As one of the most important platforms in the mobile communication sector, the event attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year, bringing together device manufacturers, mobile operators, technology providers, and industry representatives. At the fair, many innovations such as foldable flexible screens, 5G, mobile networks, and wearable artificial intelligence technologies were showcased. Türkiye's national participation is organized by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) as it has been since 2014. A total of 33 companies from Türkiye are present at the congress, with 21 participating under national participation and 12 individually. Additionally, four companies each from ITO subsidiaries, the Commercialization Center of Information, and Teknopark Istanbul have also joined the event.
