AUSTRALIA: Kangeroo Island Facing Animal Crisis

VOICED: Scientists in Australia estimate 1 billion animals have been killed by the deadly bushfires - which show no sign of burning out. One of the worst hit areas is Kangaroo Island in South Australia - home to several endangered species -- where half of the land has been razed to the ground. The owner of the island's wildlife park and his staff are staying behind to protect injured animals. Sky's Alex Crawford reports. SHOWS: Injured Koala wrapped in blanket treated by vets & volunteers at Veterinarian Garnett Hall, Australian army moving dried woodland to help prevent wildfires from moving in, field packed with sheep as smoke approaches, fires across fields and wildfires at night.
