Olbermann reports that former Hilo surgeon Robert Ricketson is being sued for allegedly implanting a screwdriver in a patient's spine during an operation after he realized he didn't have the proper titanium rod. The screwdriver eventually snapped, leaving the patient as a paraplegic. The patient has since died and Ricketson has fled Hawaii. 20:25:11 Olbermann previews upcoming topics. Half a dozen of the troops may be sent home soon after reports of low morale among the troops. 20:30:03 NBC's Tom Brokaw reports on the US Army's 3rd Infantry Division, which is embroiled in a major morale controversy. Brokaw discusses the ambush attacks and that morale problem today with General Ricardo Sanchez, the man in charge of the American military in Iraq.
