Anti-Lynching Protest

Three Howard University students wearing nooses around their necks in protest outside a crime conference held across the road from them by United States Attorney General, Homer Stille Cummings, at the Memorial Continental Hall in Washington, D.C., 13th December 1934. The demonstration is a reaction to the conference's failure to include lynching in its program.
