Earlier today U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Hamas responded to a U.S.-backed cease-fire plan, that Israel had agreed to, with changes including some that are workable and are not. Last Saturday, the country's military announced the rescue of four hostages kidnapped by Palestinian militants on Oct. 7 - Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov and Shlomi Ziv - and since held in Gaza. Around 120 other Israeli hostages are said to remain in Gaza, but it's unclear how many are alive. More than seven months after the Oct. 7 attacks, 124 Israeli hostages are reported to remain in Gaza, although it is not known how many are still alive.
