Pay for view binoculars look out on to a sea view of the Bay of Santander and Mouro Island & lighthouse on a sunny day in Santander, Cantabria region of Northern Spain. Originally called Morgo Island (Isla de Mogro), the islands name changed due to a cartography transcription mistake in the 18th Century. Now an uninhabited island with an automated beacon, the 19th Century lighthouse was operated by two keepers at a time until 1921, who were often left isolated during stormy weather.
